I’m a German archivist, playwright and cultural historian, writing at the intersection of history, atmosphere and theatre.
My work is shaped by long-standing interests in nostalgia and cultural memory and in Jewish-German history, especially in the 19th century.
As a playwright, I’m interested in what happens when history becomes something lived rather than explained. I want to put an idea in front of an audience and leave them room to question it, challenge it, or see something in it that I hadn’t.
I want to write plays that last longer than the performance itself.
At the same time, I’ve also been learning the craft of playwriting in a systematic and structured way through short courses at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
